Album Premier: Birdflesh’s Sickness in the North

We’re estatic to premier Birdflesh’s latest and much anticipated new album Sickness in the North! Being their first full-length since 2019’s Extreme Graveyard Tornado, we’ve been presented with another album chock full of fun and catchy grindcore goodness. This is an up tempo whirlwind of punk-inspired grind, with big riffs, tight grooves, and of course the band’s trademark tongue-in-cheek humor that we all love.

As for a description on what to expect, leave it to the band to sum it up perfectly:

“Sickness in the north” is the pineapple on your pizza. Hated by those who haven’t tried, and loved by the connoisseurs. Perhaps. We don’t know. But it is our magnum opus. The coffee thermos in your warehouse truck, the nail in Christ’s foot, the banjo to your incestuous activities. Play it louder than hell!

Birdflesh hail from Sweden, and have been grinding our eardrums since 1992. Being a genre leader and innovator for decades, they’ve put out six full-length albums, amongst many splits and singles.
