NEUROMORPH, the new project led by vocalist/guitarist Patrick Mameli of veteran Dutch extreme metallers PESTILENCE, has inked a deal with Imperative Music. The band’s debut album, titled Synaptic, will be released later this year.
Mameli last year announced that PESTILENCE was “no longer active in recording new material” and was “on a permanent hold” so that he could concentrate fully on NEUROMORPH.
Not dissimilar to the jazz fusion elements found on Spheres, but combined with the modern PESTILENCE riffing attack, NEUROMORPH is set to blast past all expectations and shatter the eardrums of those thinking just another straightforward “jazzy progressive metal” album is on its way.
“It’s similar to jazz fusion,” said Mameli, “but these riffs and songs will be more brutal than PESTILENCE… but way different than PESTILENCE!”
PESTILENCE’s seventh album, Obsideo, was released on November 12, 2013 via Candlelight Records.
