Recording is currently underway for ABIOTIC’s sophomore album at The Basement Recording in Winston-Salem, NC. The band is working with producer Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, The Human Abstract, Glass Casket, Last Chance to Reason) whose creative input will be an important facet on how their new songs take shape.
In a recent interview, guitarist John Matos explained: “Jamie King is the man and we can’t wait to hear what he has in store for our sound. We wanted to be as prepared as possible so that we have that wiggle room to be creative during tracking. Being solid on how everything will go before hand leaves room to try new things and can take a record to the next level.”
ABIOTIC’s second album will be released in early 2015 and is the follow up to 2012’s Symbiosis. New vocalist Travis Bartosek and drummer Brent Phillips have since joined the lineup, which is rounded out by the immensely talented guitarist duo of John Matos and Matt Mendez, along with bass phenom Alex Vazquez.
