DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has posted new drum cam footage online from the band’s recent show in Santiago, Chile. The footage can be viewed below. The drummer also posted the following message:
“Hey everyone,
Here is another Drumcam Medley of live DTP songs using my Zoom Q3HD video recorder. At the end of the medley I’ve included a full length version of the song ‘Bad Devil’, which a lot of people have requested me to do for a long time.
This Drumcam was recorded in Santiago, Chile – South America. This was the DTP’s first time down to SA ever. It was even the first time in SA for Devin himself. We headlined the last night of Metalfest there in Movistar Arena and the crowd was LOUD as you’ll hear in the video itself. This was also a first time for any of us to headline a gig inside an Arena. You can say there were a lot of firsts on this short tour of Latin America. The tour itself was an amazing time in front of amazing fans in Mexico and Chile.
In this Drumcam I’ve put together a lot of songs I haven’t released on Drumcam yet with a couple familiar ones. As mentioned, I’ve included a full length version of the song ‘Bad Devil’ which we ended our show with that night in Santiago. The sound of the video is very good. The only unfortunate thing is that my body is blocking my front splashes, rack toms and main snare so you don’t get hear the splashes that well or the full attack and resonance of my rack toms. You also don’t hear the full crack of the snare. It is a very cool camera angle, tho 😉
I’d like to shout out a special thanks to all the people who came to our shows in Mexico and Chile. It was an unbelievable experience with amazing support from our fans in both countries. We love the vibe and all the people in Latin America and can’t wait to come back!
Lastly but not least… THANK-YOU to ALL of the people who follow my YouTube page. Your continued support in what I do with the DTP and outside of the DTP is very humbling! Thank-you!”
