We are currently streaming “Another Life,” a song from emerging French cold-wave outfit Soror Dolorosa’s new album, Apollo, which is due September 8 via Prophecy Productions. The song can be streamed below.
Comments frontman Andy Julia: “This is the most ambitious song off of Apollo! A light-drunken tune shaking our influences from The Chameleons, M83, a-Ha or the beautiful Kim Wilde. We used a mixture of the powerful Prophet 8 synthesiser and Korg Lambda 1979 string machine to create this sensation of vintage spaceship taking off to outer space. This is a crazy song, made with the heart, exploring the most sensitive corners of our conscience, with no filters and total abandon to the power of music. Like the climax of a movie, ‘Another life’ is a piece of transcendence, a direct line to heaven and a childish smile facing the future. The song’s lyrics are a letter to universal love, freedom and purity that you only can find in a honest relation with yourself. This is an uplifting track to take you higher thank all the others and link the pleasure you can find in simple things at the top of a gigantic pyramid!”
