PRIMAL FEAR Issue Update On Day #2 Of Recording

German power metal veterans PRIMAL FEAR have issued an update on day #2 of recordings for their new album. Bassist Mats Sinner checks in:

“Tough second day in the recording studio, but we’re very satisfied. Drums for five songs executed including one of the two big epics on the album. Now it’s time to relax and we will start the engine again tomorrow. Just received some fantastic updates from Ralf (vocals) – epic!”

Frontiers Records and PRIMAL FEAR announced in January the renewal of their partnership, which will include two more studio releases and one live CD and DVD. After collecting more than 30 song ideas and trimming that list down to 12 tracks, PRIMAL FEAR have been holed in guitarist Magnus Karlsson’s Stuntguitar Studios in Sweden to record their forthcoming album.

Unbreakable, released in January 2012 in the U.S. via Frontiers Records, was tracked in part at House Of Music studios in Winterbach, Germany with producer/bassist Mat Sinner and engineer Achim Köhler (EDGUY, MASTERPLAN). Their tenth studio effort sold roughly 600 copies in the US in its first week of release, also landing at position #44 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
