DEATH DIVISION Confirmed For Gigantour

A few days after DEVICE (the David Drainman of Disturbed-fronted band) was confirmed for the 2013 installment of Dave Mustaine’s Gigantour, so is DEATH DIVISION — the heavy, technically aggressive and melodic band founded by bassist Jerry Montano (HELLYEAH, DANZIG, NOTHINGFACE), drummer Tim Yeung (MORBID ANGEL, DIVINE HERESY, HATE ETERNAL, NILE), vocalist/guitarist Sean De La Tour and lead guitarist Rick Di Marco, as reported by Blabbermouth.

DEATH DIVISION is managed by Dave Mustaine’s son, Justis Mustaine.

Speaking to “Saturday Night Scream” earlier this week, Dave Mustaine stated about the rest of the lineup for this year’s Gigantour: “I think [fans] are gonna be pretty stoked, because each one of the other bands on there, they’re new bands comprised of a person who was a major celebrity from a really large band that went on to do something new — [which is] another really good clue for you and your listeners.”

A teaser trailer featuring one of the six songs DEATH DIVISION recorded last year can be seen below. Described as a “a look into DEATH DIVISION” featuring Andrew Bryniarski (who played Leatherface in Newline Cinema’s remake of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) and Lacey Conner(singer, songwriter, “Rock Of Love” TV show contestant), the film was shot at Deathcult Manor and contains “nudity, violence and DEATH DIVISION.”

Commented Montano: “We wanted to take things in a different direction as far as unveiling the band while still making it interesting and not just another video.”

DEATH DIVISION has been working with Carin Cronacher of Hazmat Design (OZZY OSBOURNE, ROB ZOMBIE, ALICE COOPER) on the group’s official logo and artwork.
