British avant-garde metallers CODE have begun the tracking of their forthcoming fourth full-length album at Brighton Electric Studios (Gary Moore, Nick Cave, Saxon) in England.
“It will be a bold and challenging album that will be sure to test preconceptions again”, comments the band.
The album is scheduled to be completed at the end of October and is set for release on Agonia Records in early 2015. More photos from the studio can be seen at this location.
With varied musical backgrounds of the band’s members and a will for experimentation, CODE confronts the conventional metal and rock patterns with their own take on extreme music.
CODE began life in London in 2002 and went through several transformations, eventually forming a strong and consolidated entity. After Kvohst left to pursue Hexvessel and Vicotnik to continue with Dodheimsgard, band’s mastermind and guitarist Aaort has regrouped and redefined CODE in 2013. This led to the release of the band’s third full-length, Augur Nox, and made it a multifaceted approach: from stunning wide-ranging vocals, otherworldly clean passages and barbed metallic riffery, all filtered through a refined prism of avant-garde black metal.
