The 2013 installment of Wacken Open Air is set for the weekend of August 1, and film director Nobert Heitker, along with producer and director of photography Tomas Erhart, are set to shoot a 3D movie about Wacken, the music, the bands, and of course, its fans.
According to a press release: “We’re looking for Metalheads from all over the world, who will attend this year’s festival and who would like to take the movie audience on their own and very personal journey around the W:O:A.
You’ll be able to enjoy the festival exactly the way you want and you’re used to, with the only difference to have us tagging along sometimes with a 3D-camera crew.
So, if you’re the kind of person who loves to share his/her passion for metal, who has a story to tell, and who feels comfortable in front of a camera, then you may just be the one we’re looking for.
If you’re interested in taking part, please send us a little video clip about yourself (2 min. max), to give us an idea of who you are, what you like and what makes you stand out. Tell us a little about yourself, your age, what Wacken means to you and what you’re up to during the rest of the year (work & play).
We would also like to know if you’re coming on your own or with friends, if this is your first time at W:O:A or if you are already having good stories about your last W:O:A experiences. Of course we are interested to know your favourite type of metal and which bands you’re mostly looking forward to this year. Additionally tell us anything that seems interesting or important to you.

Thanks for helping. See you in Wacken – rain or shine!”
