THE CATALYST Announces Replacement Vocalist

Montreal, Quebec, Canada’s thrash/death act THE CATALYST have bid adieu to vocalist Matt McGachy (CRYPTOPSY) and announced Jeff Linstead (ex-ABSOLVE) as his replacement. The split with the CRYPTOPSY frontman was amicable, and both parties have wished each other well.
Bassist Mike Marino states: “We are very happy to have Jeff on board. His vocals are a great complement to our sound and give us a raw aggression with melodic sensibility which is what we were seeking.”
Linstead will commence tracking vocals immediately in the studio for THE CATALYST’s sophomore effort due out later this Fall. The album is being produced by Chris Donaldson (THE AGONIST, CRYPTOPSY). THE CATALYST also announced recently a hometown pre-launch show at Foufounes Electriques on August 23.
