MOTORHEAD To Play Wacken Open Air 2014

Sunday, 22nd December 2013

Following latest year’s worrying and abrupt appearance at Germany’s Wacken Open Air, MOTÖRHEAD will return for the 25th anniversary in Wacken, Germany from July 31st – August 2nd.

Says Wacken organizers: “After serious health problems and many cancelled shows, Lemmy played at the Black Stage at Wacken last year. But after some songs he had to quit the stage, it was just too much for him. The crowd was worried but also thankful and the ‘Lemmy! Lemmy’ shouts got everyone goose pimples. And Lemmy wants to return! And this means we can now announce: MOTÖRHEAD.

“The band is true iconic for the heavy metal scene and especially band leader Lemmy was always regarded as indestructible. The strong new album Aftershock was released a few weeks before and it is already the 22nd Album of the band. And 2014 they will rock Wacken for the 8th time!”
