CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Release Clip From The Studio

Wednesday, 17th July 2013

North Carolina legends CORROSION OF CONFORMITY have recently commenced writing material for its next album, the follow-up to the self-titled record issued via Candlelight Records in late February 2012, the reissue of their Eye For An Eye debut album, and the recently released Scion A/V EP Megalodon. A snippet video from the studio may be viewed below. Untitled at this time, the forthcoming CD will again feature the trio of vocalist/bassist Mike Dean, guitarist Woodroe Weatherman, and drummer Reed Mullin.

In addition to their already planned participation at GWAR’s annual BBQ, the trio will perform a headlining show in Wilmington, Delaware before heading to South America for a string of dates. The upcoming shows in August are a break from continued work in the recording studio on the band’s new album, expected for release in early 2014.

Vocalist/bassist Mike Dean comments: We need a little escape from the studio. We thought it would be good to see the light of the day a little bit. We are excited to play Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Argentina for the first time ever. Of course, returning to Mexico City and playing GWAR’s BBQ will be highlights for our summer as well. The new material is sounding really good, but it’s time to get the perspective provided only by playing in front of a live audience. And we are talking about some very live audiences in this case.”

Formed in Raleigh in 1982, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY quickly transformed heavy music. Politically charged and socially aware, the band has influenced countless musicians around the world and today remain humble about their accomplishments.
