BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL Ink Deal With Siege Of Amida

Wednesday, 23rd October 2013

U.K. noise mongers BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL have signed a worldwide deal with Siege Of Amida / Century Media Records. The quintet, whose distinctive blend of stomping attack with menacing groove and snarling, downtempo riffs has slowly but surely turned them into kings of the U.K. underground, have spent the past 12 months touring in support of their critically lauded third album, Scatter The Ashes.

From the familiar soils of Europe (countries long converted to the BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL cult since the release of breakthrough album, 2010’s The Root Of All Evil) to Australia, Japan, Russia and South East Asia, BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL’s relentless drive, ever-progressing strength of material and intense live performances caught the attention of the Century Media / Siege Of Amida alliance. And, following a triumphant U.K. run with CANCER BATS and an attention-grabbing set at Download festival 2013, the labels snapped the band up.

The first strike of this newly forged partnership is a deluxe reissue of Scatter The Ashes on gatefold 12-inch vinyl and 21-track, double CD set, which is set for release on November 18. This definitive edition of Scatter The Ashes features the album in its entirety, but boasts a leviathan 11 bonus tracks, taken from “The Root Of All Evil” album and 2011’s hard-to-find Sleep Paralysis EP, marking the first time that much of this material has been made available on CD.

Further, the quintet will enter Monnowvalley Studios in Wales this month to begin the recording of their fourth album with producer Gethin Pearson, with mixing duties to be handled by CONVERGE’s Kurt Ballou (BARONESS, KVELERTAK, CONVERGE, CAVE IN) at GodCity Studios in Massachusetts towards the end of the year. The album, which is scheduled for a spring 2014 release, will be the recorded debut of vocalist Louis Gauthier and drummer Craig Reynolds, who joined BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL at the start of the Scatter The Ashes touring cycle in January 2013.

To celebrate the re-issue of Scatter… and to mark the end of their most exciting year to date, BRUTALITY WILL PREVAIL will emerge from the studio in December to play a handful of shows.
