Monday, 15th April 2013

English rockers BLACK SABBATH never cease to generate electric buzz among the metal and music community. ‘God Is Dead?’, the brand spanking new single from BLACK SABBATH will be released digitally to the masses on April 19. The track comes off “13”, the band’s first album in 35 years to feature original members  Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne and is due out June 11.  Clocking in at eight minutes and 54 seconds long, this track and a series of others from the new album also mark BLACK SABBATH’s first studio album together and the group’s return to Vertigo, their original record label. The drum tracks on the album were manned by RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE drummer Brad Wilk  in the absence of original drummer Bill Ward.

The following songs were played back to an humble theater of select media VIPs at an exclusive invite-only listening party for “13”,  held on April 10 in Los Angeles, California:

End Of The Beginning (8:07)
God Is Dead? (8:54)
Loner (5:06)
Zeitgeist (4:28)
Age Of Reason (7:02)
Live Forever (4:49)
Damaged Soul (7:43)
Dear Father (7:06)

Recently, Ozzy divulged to an Australian radio station that “13” is “mind-blowing,” continuing that, “It’s better than my wildest dreams; it’s so good.”  BLACK SABBATH will also make a rare television appearance on the season finale of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, where the band is said to debut ‘End Of The Beginning’ . The episode is set to air on Wednesday, May 15 at 10:00 p.m. EST on CBS, nearly a month prior to the album release date.  The episode’s plot follows the “CSI” team as they investigate a series of murders, the trail leading the detectives played by Ted Danson and Marc Vann to attend a BLACK SABBATH concert.
