Nightrage – “Affliction” Video Premiere

In one week from today (March 31, 2017), melodic death metal veterans Nightrage will release their latest album, Venomous, on Despotz Records. We at DR have been given the honors of premiering another video from said release, entitled “Affliction.” Venomous is musically loaded with hooks while keeping the brutality and aggression the band is known for, the lyrical content focuses on the failure of mankind and how we are racing towards our own extinction.

Vocalist Ronnie Nyman says, “In the video we wanted to depict the affliction of being lost in the dark empty void inside of us all. A void that was meant to carry our souls, but now only sucks us into oblivion. We wanted to keep the video clean without too much focus on our persona and instead put focus on the emotion and feeling of the song.”

Nightrage was formed in 2000 by Greek guitar hero Gus G. (Ozzy Osbourne, Firewind, etc) and Iliopoulos (Dies Irae, Exhumation), undergoing a number of changes along the way, including Jo Nunez (Firewind), Per Moller Jensen (The Haunted), Nicholas Barker (Cradle of Filth, Testament, etc) and Bill Hudson (Kobra and the Lotus, TSO, etc), among others.
