Sunday, 4th May 2014

THE AGONISTare currently in the studio working on their new full length fourth studio album. Drummer Simon McKay has checked in with the following update:

“Ripping drum tracks for the new The Agonist album. It’s the best thing we’ve ever done, and I’ve never been more stoked in the studio than for this.”

The band recently released the “Disconnect Me” single, the first to feature new singer Vicky Psarakis, and includes the following tracks:

1. Disconnect Me
2. Perpetual Notion

Commented THE AGONIST guitarist Danny Marino: “Creating this album has been an amazing experience so far. Vicky has breathed new life into the songwriting process and we are so excited to share these first two tracks with the world! The songs on this album represent a culmination of the past 10 years, as well as a new beginning for THE AGONIST. We’re also thrilled to be back in the studio with our old friend and longtime engineer Chris Donaldson. We can’t thank our fans enough for their ongoing support in this new and exciting chapter of THE AGONIST!”

THE AGONIST last month announced the addition of Psarakis to the group’s ranks. Vicky joined THE AGONIST as the replacement for Alissa White-Gluz, who left the band to focus on her new gig as the frontwoman of ARCH ENEMY.
