SUSPERIA’S Athera To Fill In For Vintersorg For BORKNAGAR’S Brutal Assault Appearance

Norwegian atmospheric metallers BORKNAGAR have announced Pål Mathiesen (a.k.a. Athera) of SUSPERIA and CHROME DIVISION will be filling in for singer Andreas “Vintersorg” Hedlund for the band’s August 10 appearance at Brutal Assault festival in the Czech Republic. Video footage of Athera rehearsing with the band can be viewed below.

Says the band: “We have spent the last few days rehearsing for the concert at Brutal Assault in Czech Republic. This concert is also the introduction of Athera into our ranks. And no, no one left the band…”

Comments Vintersorg: “A huge thank you to Athera for stepping in for me at Brutal Assault! I have been prevented from going due to work-related issues, but I wish all the best to the guys on Saturday! This is, of course, not a sign of me leaving the band (I’m already working on the vocal lines for new songs) and the ship of BORKNAGAR will set sails even if one member is out.”
