OBLITERATION Sign With Relapse Records

Oslo, Norway death metallers OBLITERATION have signed with Relapse Records.
Formed in 2001, OBLITERATION (Sindre Solem – guitar / vocals, Arlid Myren Torp – guitar, Didrik Telle- bass, Kristian Valbo – drums) have released one EP (Total Fucking Obliteration – 2005) and two full-lengths (Perpetual Decay – 2007, Nekropsalms – 2009) to much critical acclaim in the metal underground. Combining a cosmic blend of old school death metal mixed with the best elements of doom, punk, thrash and primitive black metal, the band has quickly built a name for themselves with their unique, repulsive style.
OBLITERATION recently finished recording their highly anticipated new album at their home studio in Kolbotn, Norway which will be released later this year by Relapse in North America and Indie Recordings in the rest of the world. Vocalist / guitarist Sindre Solem commented on their upcoming partnership with Relapse:

Obliteration have played several festivals in the US, UK and Europe including Maryland Death Fest, Hole in the Sky, Øya Festivalen, Live Evil, Beyond the Gates, and Killtown death fest. The band plans to return to North America in early 2014 in support of their new record.
