NE OBLIVISCARIS recently broke multi platinum selling artist ESKIMO JOE’S Australian record for the most money ever raised for a music-related crowd funding project.

On June 30, NE OBLIVISCARIS announced a crowd funding campaign through Pozible.com for a world tour with a campaign goal of $40,000. The band raised the money in merely 38 hours. NE OBLIVISCARIS continued the campaign thereafter, and 10 days later, topped Eskimo Joe’s previous record of $60,736, having raised $61,752 with still another 49 days to go in their campaign.

Pozible co-founder and Director, Rick Chen commented on the band’s stunning achievement:

“We are thrilled to see a growing number of music projects successfully reaching their target on Pozible and love the diversity of our audience and their tastes in music. It’s great to see that NE OBLIVISCARIS, a progressive metal band with a classical violinist have such a strong support base that they not only join Edo and Jo’s Chant and Meditation and Eskimo Joe in our top five biggest ever music campaigns they are leading the charge as the biggest-ever.”
