According to a Facebook post by Chicago death metallers BROKEN HOPE, a fan sustained injuries after his throat was cut with a box cutter during the band’s set last night at Tricky Falls in El Paso, Texas.

The recently reformed group wrote: “BROKEN HOPE just learned a fan got their throat cut with a box cutter during BROKEN HOPE’s set tonight in El Paso. Cops and paramedics are all over the place. Please send warm wishes to this fan.”

It was later reported that three fans were victims of the vicious assault and will recover from their injuries.

BROKEN HOPE’s sixth album, Omen Of Disease, was issued on October 1 via Century Media Records and sold roughly 1,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The album’s drum tracks were laid down at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin with engineer Chris Wisco ( JUNGLE ROT, ORIGIN, GORGASM), while the remaining instruments were tracked at Mercenary Digital Studios in Zion, Illinois with engineer Scott Creekmore (PUTRID PILE, LIVIDITY).
