Thursday, 9th October 2014

Polish technical death masters DECAPITATED released their sixth album, Blood Mantra, on September 26th, via Nuclear Blast. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and #24 on the Billboard Hard Music chart. Checking in from his home studio as the band prepares for their upcoming North American tour, guitarist Wacław “Vogg” Kiełtyka shares the following about the chart debut:

“We debuted on the Billboard charts again? We couldn’t be more happy that Blood Mantra has such big support! The album also entered the Polish charts at the amazing #11 position, which is our highest chart entry ever. Thanks a lot to our fans for their big support and to our label Nuclear Blast and the Mystic Production Team for their passion and hard work to make that happen. In few days we start our tour with GWAR and American Sharks. Hope to see you there. For those who can make it, come to our three headlining shows with Misery Index!”

Blood Mantra was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok (Poland) under the direction of Wojtek and Slawek Wiesawski. The artwork was created by Polish artist, Lukasz Jaszak, who also made the cover of Carnival Is Forever.
