CYNIC To Release New Album “Kindly Bent To Free Us” In February

Progressive metal heroes CYNIC have set a February 14, 2014 release date for their third album, Kindly Bent to Free Us. The album will be released via Season of Mist Records, and was recorded at Perfect Sound Studios in Hollywood with Jason Donaghy. Songtitles to appear on the album include: “Endlessly Bountiful,””Moon Heart Sun Head” and “True Hallucination Speak.”

The group’s drummer, Sean Reinert, previously stated in an online posting: “Some people are gonna be pissed and others are gonna say ‘thank you!!!’ I’m with the latter! “It’s a bold new sound for CYNIC and marks a gigantic leap in the band’s progression.”

The band’s previous two releases are the 2011 Carbon-Based Anatomy EP, and their 2008 comeback, Traced in Air.
