CONQUERING DYSTOPIA Featuring JEFF LOOMIS, CANNIBAL CORPSE Bassist, THE FACELESS Drummer Raises Over $25 000

Ex-NEVERMORE guitarist Jeff Loomis, musician Keith Merrow, CANNIBAL CORPSE bassist Alex Webster and THE FACELESS sticksman Alex Rudinger have teamed up to write an album together under the name CONQUERING DYSTOPIA. It all wasn’t a definite go until the quartet raised more than $15,000 via Indiegogo, however, in less than 24 hours the project has raised $25 310 through the crowdfunding site.
The summary on the Indiegogo page reads: “This fundraiser is intended to help ease the financial difficulty of creating an album, DIY style (no label support). We want this album to sound as good as possible, so most of this funding will go towards professional audio mixing and mastering. In addition, travel fees, and merch are all wrapped up in this fundraiser. Basically, every penny of this fundraiser will go into the creation of this album/project.
We feel that we have a very cool and unique band lineup, which will make for a memorable album for the listener. We encourage you to be a part of this album’s history by contributing to our cause!”
The CONQUERING DYSTOPIA album can be pre-ordered via Indiegogo with various exclusive bundle packages still available. As you may recall, Loomis was also forced to set up a PayPal account back in April to accept donations to keep touring after Loomis and his band were reportedly robbed of all their gear in St. Louis.
